Holy Name of Jesus School offers an After School Program so that our students will be ensured of quality childcare in a safe and nurturing environment.  Activities are geared toward social skills, homework help, recreation, physical activities, and Christian character development. 

Program is offered 3:30 - 6:00 pm in the HNJ Social Hall.  In the event of pre-scheduled events in the Social Hall, the After School Program meets in Secondary Building Room 218

Supervision of students is provided by HNJ teachers and staff members

Daily snacks are provided, and consist of fruits, vegetables or breakfast cereal.  Please note, no peanut butter or peanut butter product will be served.  Please do not send an individual snack with your child; however, if you would like to provide a snack for the entire group, you are welcome to do so - simply notify the After School Program staff of the date on which you will provide the snack.

Enrollment is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, as there is limited space.  A waiting list is maintained each year.

IMPORTANT!  After School care is provided on days when HNJ is in session for the full day only.  There is no After School Program on half-days, holidays, or early dismissal days.

    4:15 pm - Homework followed by recess during Sept, Oct, April, and May
                      Recess followed by homework during Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and March
    5:00 pm - Activity for students finished with homework
    6:00 pm - Program closes

After School Program Fees

    *There is a non-refundable $50 registration fee to enroll your child/children in the program.  In the event children are withdrawn from the program at any time, the registration fee must be paid again in order to re-enroll. 

    *Cost for the program is structured as follows: 
         First Child - $10.00 per day
         Each Additional Child - $8.00 per day

    *Enrollment for each child must be full-time.  Please note, there are no refunds for absences.

    *Payment may be made monthly (due 1st of each month; bi-weekly (due 15th of each month), or weekly, but must be current at all times.  First payment for the school year is September 1, and final payment is May 1. 

    *Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.  Please make checks payable to Holy Name of Jesus, and send to the school office in an envelope marked, After School Program.

    *Payment is considered past due after three (3) days beyond the payment due date.  We reserve the right to terminate services after 30 days of non-payment or repeated late payments.  There is a $20 fee for checked returned due to insufficient funds. 

    *There is a late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute after 6:00 pm.  This fee will be collected at time of pick-up.  Consistent late pick-ups and failure or refusal to pay late fees may result in the removal of the child/children from the program.

    *On days when your child/children will not be attending the program, please notify the After School Program staff.  In the event your child was absent from school for the day, this is not necessary, as the Health Room will have notified us.  However, it is necessary to notify us if the child/children were in school, but will not be attending the After School Program.
