The program philosophy of the HNJ Track & Field program is to build self-confidence and self esteem in the athletes who participate. The program strives to teach students how to set goals and work towards beating their own personal records (PR’s). The program teaches the athletes about being good athletes and treating their fellow competitors with respect, cheering for their teammates and displaying their Christian values. While we do encourage and wish our athletes to succeed, the program is not about winning track meets. It is about learning how to participate in various events of track and field and then succeeding personally.
Parishioners in grades 3-8 who attend either Holy Name of Jesus School or Religious Education Program are eligible to sign up.
