Swinging for the Fences

Students in Spanish classes, 3-8, participated in the Harrisburg Senator’s Hit the Books bookmark contest.  Our students at Holy Name submitted theirs in Spanish, to honor the Hispanic Minor League baseball players.  The ‘Playeros de Harrisburg’, will be the Spanish team name of the Senators for five select games this season.  Francesca , a 6^th grade student at Holy Name, placed in the top five of over 900 submitted bookmark designs from surrounding area schools.  Her design will be featured on promotional posters, placed in over 70 local schools.  Rascal, the Harrisburg Senators mascot, came and surprised Francesca in Spanish class.
